I'm Back!!!

Hello Lovelies! I had to take a step back due to the hell that is moving in NYC.  While I'm still in the process, and have packed up my life (and my makeup!), I have enough makeup/nail spam to last me a while.  As you can see, I've dyed my hair a natural shade of green.  While being blondish (ombre) was fun, I wanted to do something that felt more like me.  My colorist and decided to go with teal fading into mint, with pops of lime green.  Very mermaid-like, very happy with it.  Even my mother commented that "I now look more like myself".

I've got really simple face of the day, it took no more than 15 minutes, tops. I broke out my beloved NAKED palette for this one. I've been reaching for it more often than not, since I keep my makeup fairly subdued for work. I try to keep my makeup in line with the nature of the brand I work for. Hence a lot of neutral tones so the NAKED palette is perfect for this!

Once my lids were primed with NYX eyeshadow base in the beige color, I swept Half-Baked all over my lid. I used Darkhorse, such a gorgeous olive/brown, in the crease. As a browbone highlight, I used Virgin. I finished with my holy grail black gel liner from Cailyn, winging out slightly, and Maybelline Rocket mascara.

I've been on a MAC kick when it comes to lips lately. As in I went crazy for the Baking Beauties and Fashion Sets collection. And maybe I bought Scarlet Ibis from the Forever Marilyn re-release. Maybe... Since the eye makeup is fairly subdued, I wanted a pop of color on my lips. Silly from the Fashion, topped with the matching lip glass fit the bill. I've have some swatches up soon, I promise! Until then, have a great day!

LIT Glitter Starter Kit + Swatches!

Hi everyone!  Today I've got the LIT Cosmetics Multi Stack Lit Kit to show today.  I passed by the LIT Cosmetics booth at IMAT's and I couldn't resist bringing these babies home with me!

The kit comes with the following:
  •  30 ml Clearly Liquid Glitter Base
  • Liner Brush
  • Round Brush
  • Sparkle Duster (for that pesky stray glitter!)
  • silk tote bag
  • your choice of 3,4, or 5 glitters ( I went with 3)

My picks? Kiss, Lover Boy and Back in Black.

Here they are in all their glittery glory!

Kiss
Totally reminds me of the ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz!

Lover Boy
Such a pretty royal blue.

Back to Black
I alway love the idea of black glitter, but most look matte.  Definitely not the case here.

Here are swatches of Kiss, Lover Boy and Back to Black.  The glitter sealer is super easy to use and dries pretty quick.  Can't wait to play around some more with these glitters!

Have a great day!

Hello everyone!  Today I wanted to show what I purchased at IMATS.  It was pretty crowded which made shopping difficult...  Patience paid off though!

More after the jump!

This was so gorgeous!

Have anyone of you ever attended IMATS, or another beauty trade show?  Any tips on how to deal with the crowds?  This time, it seemed so much more crowded and crazy, probably because there were a bunch of Youtube gurus around.  This is the second time I've gone but I would love to check out IMATS LA!

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Sci-Fi Lullabies Collection

Hi everyone!  I know it's been a while but I've been busy having fun!  I just attended IMATS ('twas amazing!).  I also just met James Vincent and totally fan-girled...  Another fun thing I did? I attended the launch of the Sci-Fi Lullabies collection by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.  As if that wasn't enough, I was given five out of the six new Lip Tars!  Now, if you know me, you KNOW I looooooooooooove me some Lip Tars. So let's see some swatches?

Annika: "pale but amped up neutral peach"

I recently wore this to work and got so many compliments!  It's peachy without leaning too orange.  I love pairing it with a smoky eye or a defined cat-eye.

Pris: "super pale beige rose neutral metallic"

I packed this on just so you can see how it looks opaque.  It can also be worn as a sheer glaze on the lips or mixed with other colors.

Zhora: "pale peach with gold/red metallic duochrome"

Zhora is way prettier in real life, the red duochrome is much more present.  While it's peach, it has a touch more orange than Annika.

 Lovecraft: "vividly iridescent pink/lilac metallic"

Another gorgeous color, that can be worn alone or on top of another color.  I'm already thinking of what lipsticks I can pair this with.

Batty: "black metallic with silver iridescence"

I recently used this color on a work project, and everyone loved it.  While black lipstick isn't really my thing, I'm definitely considering taking Batty out for a spin.  To me, this color is the lipstick version of China Glaze Stone Cold.

Now, I've never seen Blade Runner so when I hear the name Batty, I think of Fern Gully...  Overall I really enjoyed this collection, especially Annika and Lovecraft.  Annika went on smoothly and contains no sparkle whatsoever.  The rest of the colors went on a little patchy, but I think it's due to the high amount of shimmer they contain.  As with any Lip Tar, you need to use a good lip balm before applying.

What did you think? Any must-haves?
